Speculation is mounting that a ROG Ally 2 handheld will be revealed as early as Computex 2024 in June. While the latest rumors are based more on speculation than evidence, the timing would be ideal, especially following the rather catastrophic launch of the MSI Claw and the continued domination of Valve’s Steam Deck.
Already one of the best handheld gaming PCs, the Asus ROG Ally boasts more power than the Steam Deck, but this Asus device also has an arguably worse OS in the form of Windows. As the market starts to wonder where and when the next generation of handhelds will be revealed, next month’s Computex show in Taipei looks like a space to watch.

What are the Hades 2 system requirements? Rarely do games only offer a minimum baseline that you will need to beat, but Hades 2 is one such game, at least for now. The follow-up to the hugely successful action roguelike may change its specs throughout early access, but we don’t see it becoming a problem provided you’re not gaming on a moldy potato.
While you may proudly own one of the best graphics cards, Hades 2 makes it clear that such power isn’t necessary. Like its predecessor, the requirements are easy to clear even for near decade-old machines, to the point where, right now, there isn’t even a specific gaming CPU featured in the specs.

When is the Genshin Impact Sethos banner release date? As Sethos is the upcoming four-star character arriving in the anime game, he won’t be getting his own banner. Don’t worry, we expect him to feature on either (or both) of the five-star characters he arrives alongside.
Sethos is one of the new and upcoming Genshin Impact characters who we should be seeing very soon alongside the two five-star characters, Clorinde and Sigewinne. He has been officially announced by Hoyoverse, so it’s likely he’ll be in the next update. He is an Electro bow user from the Sumeru deserts, and has already appeared in Cyno’s 4.6 questline, as well as the 4.6 livestream.

Mechs seem to be everywhere right now. Armored Core 6 was a smash hit, and succeeded in bringing the series back from extinction. Titanfall 2 had its servers fixed and is playable again, and the upcoming Mecha Break looks to bring robot-driven PvP to the mainstream. As part of this resurgence, The Forever Winter aims for a different, more horrific angle – rather than the power fantasy of piloting the mecha yourself, you’re left to survive in a wasteland populated by ‘bots that won’t hesitate to rip you apart. This is AC6 meets the brutal, survivalistic world of Fallout.

Asus has just unveiled the world’s first dual-fan AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards, in the shape of the Asus Dual Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Asus Dual Radeon RX 7900 XT. As all previous graphics cards based on these AMD GPUs sported three fans, you might expect a dual-fan variant to have a small card design, but that’s not the case with these cards.
As AMD’s current best graphics card for gaming, the RX 7900 XTX is a monstrously powerful card that generally needs every bit of help it can get to remain cool while still being quiet. However, these new Asus versions of AMD‘s finest appear to cut down their cooling capacity, while not obviously offering any other advantages.

Should I buy DDR4 or DDR5 RAM? That’s the question we’re going to answer here, with a focus on gaming. If you’re considering using Intel’s LGA1700 platform with its powerful 12th, 13th, and 14th gen CPUs, you’ll need to decide whether to use DDR4 or DDR5 memory. We’re setting out to answer whether DDR5 is faster in games than DDR4, and if the extra premium is worth it.
If you already own a DDR4 rig, you could also potentially save some money on your PC hardware by transplanting your existing DDR4 sticks into your upgraded Intel PC, but is that a false economy for gaming? To find the best gaming RAM tech, we’ve put typical kits of each type of memory to the test to see if there’s any difference in gaming performance and, if so, to see whether it’s best to save some money and go with DDR4 or spend a little extra and use DDR5.

In the months since its launch, the Meta Quest 3 has proven particularly popular among Steam users, eclipsing most other VR headsets. While its predecessor, the Quest 2, and Valve Index have thus far proven the only difficult roadblocks in the Quest 3’s path to dominance, it seems all but certain that this is set to change.

Farming simulators often require a lot of attention and thought, belying their cosy aesthetics and gentle, relaxing music. Even a game like Stardew Valley can feel like a part-time job occasionally. Rusty’s Retirement effectively sidesteps this issue. Not only is it a peaceful, pastoral farm and building game, it only occupies a portion of your monitor, allowing you to split your attention between your crops and anything else on your desktop. Little wonder it’s been such a huge success, selling 100,000 copies in a matter of days.

There’s a difference between good hard games and bad hard games. When difficulty is at its worst, you feel frustrated, and like it’s impossible to make any meaningful progress. But when the greatest roguelikes get it right, your deaths and losses become a fundamental part of your emotional experience. Punishment as a mechanic. Game over as a reward. You lose weapons and resources, but you gain insight, and the joy of a gaming journey that’s all yours. As Hades 2 draws near, its superlative predecessor remains a must play, and is now cheaper than ever.

It’s no secret that the League of Legends Vanguard hasn’t exactly gone as planned. With players claiming it’s bricking PCs, asking you to delete core Windows systems, and locking HDMI drivers, things keep going from bad to worse. Following a series of claims that the new anti-cheat isn’t causing these issues, Riot has doubled down, stating that it has “not confirmed any instances of Vanguard bricking anyone’s hardware.”
