If you like your first-person shooters to ensure that your enemies never even see you coming, you’re likely to be well catered to over the next 12 months. In a press release issued earlier today, Rebellion revealed that its working on not one, not two, but four Sniper Elite projects.
The first of those projects will be a remaster of Sniper Elite V2, which will see players return to the Berlin campaign in the closing moments of the Second World War. If the chance to pop Nazi heads in freshly-upgraded gore weren’t enough, the new version of the game will feature 16-player multiplayer, a photo mode, and new playable characters. You’ll be able to get your hands on the remaster later this year.
The other major takeaway is the announcement of “the next major title in the Sniper Elite series.” Presumably, this is going to be called Sniper Elite 5, but at the moment, details are relatively scarce. We do know, however, that we’ll learn more about its development at some point next year.
